Imagine a day walking the planet blindfolded and you know what our eyes meant to us. It is eyes, which starts working pretty efficiently from the time even before we are born. Hence, eyes deserve a lot of pampering and maintenance to keep them working till the maximum span possible.
Why you should take special care for your eyes
Eyes are always open in our wakeful state and are always working. Being always exposed and most often debarred, eyes are always in maximum access to many type of infections, pollution and even stress. Few ways how our eyes get damaged over the years consistently without our awareness:
Getting exposed to heat and solar radiation during day time causes harm to our eyes for children and adults at the same level. Conditions such as cataract, pinguecula, pterigium and muscular degeneration are caused due to harmful UV radiations and other radiations on a slow pace when exposed to sunlight with bare eyes for a long time regularly.
Getting exposed to smoke and pollution also causes degeneration of eye tissues and also causes drying and irritation of eyes. Someone who smokes regularly, causes a lot of harm to their eye sight and is entertaining visual conditions like cataract in a long term.
Watching television or working on computer too causes drying of your eyes. Surprisingly it is found that when we are looking at any electronic screen, we tend to blink less to half the time then usual. Using too many commercial eye drop claiming to keep your eyes hydrated and whiter are not at all good to be used regularly on a long term. They block blood circulation to the eyes to stop eventual redness of your eyes, which is definitely very dangerous for your eyes.

How to take special care of your eyes
Wear Sunglasses: You not only look good but you protect your eyes from heat, radiation and pollution too at the same time.
Eat healthy: Maintain a balanced diet which includes a lot of green vegetables, nuts and lentils and everything which is rich in Vitamin A.
Sleep well: Make sure to fetch your daily dose of good night sleep which is uninterrupted and for 7-8 hours. It takes eyes to undergo a complete rest phase only after 2-3 hours you go to sleep.
Quit smoking: Smoking is known more prominently to cause cancer and respiratory disease. However, smoke from nicotine burning damages your eyes way before they damage your lungs.
Cut long time screen ogling: Watching TV and working over computer for long durations affects our vision and even causes dilation in our pupils. Avoid gazing way from the screen every 20- 30 minutes, and make sure you blink every 30 seconds. It is hard but do it for your right cause.
Besides, drink a lot of water, do wipe your makeup every night before going to sleep and pamper your eyes. They are your precious two, who helps your differ between the light and dark. Take care.
